finally.

OJ Simpson found guilty on all counts of armed robbery and kidnapping in the Las Vegas hotel. 13 years to the day after he was acquitted on all counts of murder.

“Law is the means, justice is the end.” or “What goes around comes around.” I don´t know which, and I really don´t care, although I do, because it is necessary for our Republic that there are fair and just trials regardless of dream teams of lawyers.

Go Gators, beat Arkansas. I´m thoroughly annoyed that USF is ranked above FL this week. I will eternally have a problem with that, regardless of how good they actually get. I guess it´s just too hard to let go.

Everyone seems to be digging this whole baseball playoffs thing. I personally can´t stand to watch it, and made an ignorant question the other day as a result: “So wait, where are the White Sox from?” Oi! The girl from Chicago who was talking about the Cubs and baseball, paused, looked at me, searching for the joke, waiting for it. And then was kind enough to just say Chicago, swallow her obvious and well-deserved annoyance, and continue the conversation with those that actually have knowledge base about baseball.  Go Rays? (I think they´re playing, and I´m too lazy to check the ESPN website.)

I´m so sad that the only sport I will return to in December is basketball. It´s  terrible experience for me to watch an entire basketball game. The players, the ball, the points, dart back and forth between sides of the court. It´s like one big game of tug of war with your heart, if your heart is indeed in the game, as you try not to celebrate too much when your team is up, because in the blink of an eye, the ball is back down on the opposite end of the court on its way to a three point shot. Halfway through the game, you need a drink, just to calm yourself and recompose. For this reason, I really enjoy the last five or ten minutes of basketball, as I can let my heart soar with the team as they score, and damn the other one when they do. The short lived adrenaline rush is exciting and welcome. I can only hope the FL gets a good bowl this year, and I can trek to wherever it is and live my last game as a Gator. (Although, in spirit, of course, I´ll always be a Gator, as the Gator nation is everywhere. Right.)

Trying to get my classes I am taking here approved as History credit is becoming somewhat of a difficult and arduous experience. I really don´t want to have 12 credits my last semester (This would be 2 regular histories, 1 senior seminar, and of course my honor thesis). I´m thoroughly annoyed and worried. Oi.

I guess I´m running a 10 K in 2 weeks. One word: dread.

This liberal (flaming?) bought the best Tshirt yesterday, “Costa Rica, No Army since 1948, No war, No guns”. I love it so. Especially after realizing that I can get my eyes checked here for $2, contacts for 6 months for $40, glasses for under $100, a teeth cleaning and dental checkup for $20, and liposuction for about $1000. I will be coming back a whole new woman. LOL.

Breathtaking beauty at the Volcano and the subsequent waterfalls. And my blisters didn´t even hurt that badly.
